The framework behind all our guidance is the four C’s – Calm, Confident, Creative and Competent. What does this mean for you and your child?

Calm

Being calm creates a state of mind that will enable your child to:

  • Have a longer attention span for play and learning
  • Have better memory recall
  • Have the motivation to accomplish tasks on their own and learn new skills
  • Cope with change more readily

Confident

Having a confident child means that they will embrace new experiences such as:

  • Making new friends
  • Being able to talk through problems
  • Asking questions
  • Trying something new
  • Having healthy self esteem

Creative

Being creative is not just about artistic talent, it includes:

  • Using their imagination
  • Being able to occupy themselves
  • Having satisfaction from creating something
  • Being playful and creating their own world of play

Competent

Mastering knowledge and skills is only part of becoming competent, your child also needs to:

  • Discover their talents and abilities
  • Identify what motivates them
  • Set goals to aim for self improvement
  • Relish the satisfaction of achievement
  • Find ways around challenges and frustrations
